I am so excited to announce to you the beginning of Home Teams! Last month, we had a seminar led by Charlie Couch and Aaron Clow from Real Life in Moscow, Idaho. We will soon be grouping our people into Home Teams that will meet weekly with the intention of growing spiritually and relationally as a church body. The church in Idaho has an extensive background in this kind of program and graciously came and shared with us how they have seen successful growth both numerically and spiritually in their community. Our elders and I have been targeting this kind of program for several months now and we believe that we are now ready to launch. I want to thank Ken and Deb Paul for coming on board with us and becoming our Home Team Coaches. Ken and Deb were actually part of the original plant at Real Life in Moscow and have had extensive experience with the home group process. Their excitement for what we are about to begin is contagious. Give them your encouragement.

Summer’s over and it’s time to get back into that fall routine. School is back in session and Friday night football is underway. The church is having our fall kick-off on September 12th starting at 10:30. Our worship service will be outside and will be followed by a potluck dinner in the gym. There will be music and activities for all ages. Be sure to invite your friends, family, and neighbors. As soon as Kick-off is over it will be time to start thinking about Harvest Festival. We did not have harvest festival last year but we will be doing it this year even bigger and better. Then we need to get ready for the Christmas season. As you can see, we have a lot of things planned.

I want to let everyone know how exciting it is to see our Youth Group 22:37 growing and bonding. We are having a blast with some recent activities such as our Photo Scavenger Hunt, Minute to Win It and most recently A Penny Richer. If you don’t know about these activities ask one of our kids in 6th - 12th grade about it and you will strike up a great conversation. These activities have been used to get students out of their comfort zones and talking to people. It has been amazing to see God building up our program and it has been exciting to be a part of it.
